Life Lately - 1.16

I think I’ve been avoiding writing this first life lately post of the year. It felt to me that so many people were echoing the same sentiment, “Can’t wait for 2021 because it’s going to be so much better than 2020.” It was so easy to jump on that bandwagon because 2020 was a shitty year that there had to be something out there to look forward to. And now that it’s here, of course, it is not what we hoped.

Y’all know Cleo Wade is my ride-or-die when it comes to positive thinking and loving messages so I want to share her words below when it comes to how I want to approach 2021…

Let love be the answer to all of life’s questions (even the really, really hard ones).

EATING

NYT Cooking Nutella Banana Bread recipe came out FRESH. Not sweet at all considering it calls for Nutella, but I also did add less sugar than recommended.

READING

The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz. Same author as The Four Agreements that I’ve also recommended. Both are books that I’m hoping to read every six months or so. They are powerful messages that everyone should read.

WATCHING

Pretend It’s a City and Search Party season 4. If you’ve never seen Search Party then I’m not sure we can be friends...

LISTENING

Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead podcast interview with President Barack Obama is such an inspiring conversation. I listened to it three times this week.

EYEING

The M Jewelers nameplate necklace is something I bought over Black Friday and didn’t share until I knew I really liked it. And right now they have an amazing discount sitewide! My exact necklace is the gold, mini classic nameplate necklace. Similar ones linked below including this Ten Wilde brand under $50!

TRYING

The dating apps again...call me the next bachelorette.
