If you’re keeping up with my posts then I can’t thank you enough. They’ve been a little way to keep me in check and hopefully, someone relates out there as well. I wish I had better update this week but truthfully it’s been a tough one. I’m reminding myself that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, even when it hurts to my core sometimes. Love and light y’all AND GO VOTE!!!

FOOD

I haven’t been inspired to cook something new lately and opted for some new restaurants in town. In particular, the Music Lane development on S. Congress looks like it’s something out of LA. I’ve loooooved my meals at Aba, Two Hands, and of course, Sweetgreen.

READING

I didn’t have the chance this week to read deeply. Instead, I kept my nose on social media. And one account that I keep coming back to over and over again is writer and speaker, Yung Pueblo (yung_pueblo). Similar to Cleo’s inspirational writing, Yung Pueblo’s allow me to reflect on my own self-healing process and what I’m looking for in my next relationship.

WATCHING

In a classic Astros fashion, we’re taking back the series hopefully and that’s all I’ve been looking forward to every evening. Grab your Astros gear and watch with me!

LISTENING

I came across purpose coach and author, Jay Shetty on Whitney Cummings’ podcast but ever since their conversation, I dove right into everything Jay Shetty. In particular, his podcast interview with actress Lily Collins from Emily in Paris hit me. She spoke so openly about her self healing process that I related to it immediately. Give it any of them a listen and you won’t regret it!

EYEING

I have a lot of upcoming personal goals to accomplish and I think rewarding myself with a new Stetson hat from S. Congress store Maufrais might just be my gift. They make custom hats that have been my dream but in the meantime, I’ve been so happy with anything from Lack of Color.

TRYING

The universe has a funny way of biting me in the ass just when I thought everything seemed to be on the up so I’m gonna try over the next week particularly to focus on changing my perspective. I have total control and it’s just a matter of reminding myself every morning.
